Island Park Vacation
This last week was so much fun! We had the opportunity to go to Jeffs families Cabin in Island Park. It was so nice to get out of Salt Lake City and enjoy time with the family. We had a blast from floating down the river which Macadey loved, to going to West Yellowstone and seeing 2 playes at the Play Mill Theater (Oklahoma and Hello Dolly). Macadey did great with the pre-show entertainment and all the way to intermission, After that she needed to run so we had to take turns taking her out. But if you are ever in West Yellowstone and are in need of something to do. I suggest you go to the plays they do a great job and I don't think that I have ever disliked one of them. I have been going for the last 4 years while Joyce and Dave have been going ALOT longer than that, and they love them.
Jeff and Dave had a great time taking Macadey on their fun little adventures. She would tell Dolly all about it and talk to her like she had missed the best thing in the world. I know it was great for Jeff to get some time to spend with Macadey he is so busy right now. I think I had more time on my hands to do what I wanted and to tell the truth while on vacation, I got a library card. I needed new material to read and fill up some of my time. I know what you must be thinking a library card on vacation! Well I just can't help myself books are my weaknesses.
Leonee, Laurel, Matt and Jaxon came up on Friday night and floated down the river with us on Saturday. It was quite funny to watch a pregnant person try and get on an inter tube. I must say that without Leonee I think I would still be stuck out there trying to figure out how to get off and walk through the water. THANKS!!!!! Halfway down the river some Moose decided it would be fun to play in the water with us. Macadey had the time of her life sitting on grandmas lap and watching the moose. She is still talking about the moose and telling dolly the stories of what she saw, and that was a week ago! She was also very mad about having to get out of the water, She would throw her temper tantrums (that just started within the last month) and it was fun trying to find things that would distract her. I think she is a big outdoor girl because she never wanted to come inside she wanted to be outdoors for as long as possible and as much as possible.
Jeff, Matt and Dave went fishing on Saturday at 6 AM it is actually very funny because they didn't catch a thing then we went down the river and they saw tons of fish. Matt and Jeff ended up floating back down the river after we got back and Matt caught 2 fish! Jeff none.
Leonee ended up driving home with us in the car and I swear I had 2 kids that I had to take care of! Just kidding leonee. But seriously they fought like sisters in the back a 1 year old and a 22 year old and all they did was throw toys at each other and tickle and fight! It was really funny.
